Terms of Service

v1 · Last updated April 30, 2026

By using Yottle (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

What Yottle is

Yottle is a private AI chat service. Conversations are ephemeral — we don't store the contents of what you type or what the model replies. See our privacy policy for the full posture.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Yottle to:

  • Generate content that is illegal where you live or where Yottle operates
  • Generate sexual content involving minors, or content designed to harass, defame, or threaten specific people
  • Attempt to extract other users' data, bypass authentication, or attack our infrastructure
  • Resell or repackage Yottle as your own service
  • Automate the service in a way that abuses our rate limits or the inference provider's policies

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules. Because we don't store conversation contents, enforcement is necessarily based on patterns we can observe (request volume, billing signals) rather than message inspection.

Who Yottle is for

Yottle is suitable for:

  • Personal use — thinking out loud, drafting, working through decisions
  • Professionals working with general business or client information they would otherwise paste into ChatGPT (consultants, marketers, accountants, lawyers, founders)

Yottle is not suitable for, and should not be used with:

  • Health information regulated under HIPAA — we have not signed a Business Associate Agreement
  • Payment card data regulated under PCI-DSS
  • Student records regulated under FERPA
  • Any data subject to a regulatory framework that requires a specific contractual instrument (DPA, BAA, etc.) we have not signed with you

If your work falls into one of those categories and you'd still like to use Yottle, email hello@getyottle.com and we'll talk through whether we can support you with the right paperwork.

For business customers who need a Data Processing Addendum or specific sub-processor disclosures beyond what's on our sub-processors page, email hello@getyottle.com and we'll put one in place.

File attachments follow the same rules. Don't upload PHI, payment card data, student records, or other regulated data classes we haven't signed paperwork to handle.

AI output

The model can be wrong. It can say things that sound confident but aren't accurate. Don't use Yottle as your sole source for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Treat its output as you would a smart but fallible friend.

Accounts and payments

You can use Yottle anonymously for a short preview. To use the daily free allowance, you sign in with Google. To use Pro, you subscribe through Stripe; you can cancel any time from your Stripe customer portal, and Pro access ends at the close of the paid period.

Pricing, included usage, and tier rules can change. We'll give reasonable notice before any change that reduces what existing customers get.

Service availability

Yottle is provided “as is” without warranty. We do our best to keep it running but make no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. We may modify, pause, or shut down the service if we have to.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yottle's liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for free-tier users is zero).

Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top and post a notice when these terms change. Continued use of Yottle after the change means you accept the new version.
